Hello all,

I’m a new member that recently purchased a 1967 charger. Thanks to everyone in advance for any future questions I may have.

Thanks

Nice looking charger! Let's get some more pics as well as the history of your car.

Great car and welcome! Look out for the guy with the beer. Lol

So as far as history I did decode the fender tag and it was originaly a copper color, interior was column shifter with buddy seat which it still is and motor was a 383 2bl, which it now as a 4bl on it but still has a factory intake I just can’t read the date. Someone swapped it over at some point.

Welcome! 67s are our thing up here. Looks like you have a 68 up intake, and they added the 4bbl emblems.
What was the build date on it?

Thanks for posting. Particularly enjoy the pic of the engine compartment. You can keep it original or take advantage of what the factory gave you. Look forward to your participation!

So what questions do you have?
I’m currently fixing oil leaks at timing cover and oil pan, I’m thinking while I’m in here I should change the timing chain also. Should I upgrade the cam and if so what would be a good one to use?

Oil pan. Frequently over tightened. Remove and pound the bold holes flat or a little concave. Reinstall with a good gasket Timing cover. Make sure ALL of the old gasket is removed. A spec will = a leak. Cam, call a cam company or 2. Oregon cam may be able to regrind your cam for much better performance. Make sure you have all the info available like weight, tire height, rear end ratio, compression, intake and exhaust configuration, stall, intended use etc to give the right answer. Many cam companies will have a form to fill out with the required information. You can make a screamer with your car!

Thanks for the info, I did notice while cleaning the oil pan that holes are kind of pulled in, I will need to pound this flat again. Thanks

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. Thanks for the pictures of your '67 Charger. There is a lot of knowledge here to help with your questions. I have a '67 Coronet R/T.
