What is pad ID explanation for WT

Purchased a 69 coronet 440 looking for a 440 engine I located one in a 66 chrysler 300 it had a pad # WT 440 1 22 I know the WT means water tested but is this good or bad or otherwise?

Thanks for the welcome, will work on pictures. I am not very computer savy still very old school, just started using internet etc. Any ideas on the WT pad code?

Hi there dcmason69, welcome! :wav:

There's nothing wrong with the WT code (you're right, it stands for 'water tested'), some have it and sometimes they weren't stamped. I thought they were more common on 426 hemi blocks, maybe I'm wrong. Any other stampings on the pad? Here is a list of what could be on there:

welcome to FBBO,

try posting the question in another part of the forum, this is the welcome wagon
not as many come here, that way you'll probably get allot more responses/answers...

Thank you photon 440 i was hoping that i was to hear that for an answer, thinking that for quality checks that the plant may random test a block during a production run as part of doing a Q C check.
Being a new member i appreciate all the help i have received and the web site you mentioned for the info is also one that i have seen also but thank you.
