Jason from Cannon Falls, Minnesota here. I just pulled the trigger on a pair of 70 Coronets. One is a 383 4 speed Bee with an n96 hood & the other, a Coronet 440 383 auto. Both swiss cheese rusty & probably paid way too much for them. The B5 blue bee is the one I'm hoping to save, not so sure about the brown Coronet. The rear leaf spring eyes are touching the underside of the deck lid.
Going to haul them home this weekend. Got a spare N96 hood in the deal, kind of takes the edge off the stupid money I paid for these cars. Hoping to use a few parts off the Coronet to save the Bee & either sell it whole or possibly part out. Will know more when they are back @ home & I can inspect them a little better. I'm sure that the Bee will need floors, rockers, rear frame rails, trunk floor & extensions.
Looks like I will need to stock up on argon & wire. I don't post much on forums since I can usually find what I need with the search function. It'll be a while before I start this project. Have to finish my dads 47 Dodge pickup & sell a whole lot of my other projects (to pay back the wife) before I dive into the Bee.

welcome to FBBO

Welcome from Maine! Good find. Hope you can save one!!

Welcome from Minnesota. I paid more then I should have for my 65 Coronet but it's what I wanted and makes me very happy. Good luck on your project and I hope to see updates....really like the n96 hood scoop option.

Welcome to the site. Good old WI rust on those will keep you busy for awhile. I just finished up my original Michigan 69 Charger. I know just what you mean about stocking up on argon, wire, and grinding discs. I did make huge strides with my welding abilities on that one though. That blue Bee will be a very sharp car when done.

i am also from minnesota, would you let me take measurements off your fenders for my 1/2 scale superbird build because they used 70 coronet fenders on em

Welcome from south central MN!
Bee looks like a nice project. Gotta love the 4 spd.

Welcome from the far north end of Minnitoba, er... Minnesota.

:)

Great find with that pair of dodges!

Thats the whole reason I got this car Gpuller. An automatic wasn't even a consideration. I went for a ride in a coworkers 70 V code 4 speed back in 95, and have never been able to shake that feeling. I swore to myself that some day I would own a 4 speed Bee. Only took 19 years!
