Just bought the new ride a couple of months ago and loving it. I do have questions that I have been researching with no luck. Looking for any help....

The car has been restored but needs some finishing touches. I'd like to get some sail panels for the interior and I've seen OEM plastic ones online and then some boards wrapped in headliner material. Which is the correct application for the car? Also do the OEM plastic from 1973-74 fit the 72 as well?

Anyone know what the logo on the dash should look like? The sattelite script is in place on the pass side wood grain, and feels like it should be something different.

Sorry to come out firing questions, but I'm excited that I might find the answers on here.

Thanks, JW

Cool car welcome to the FBBO forum...

I don't know the answers to your questions but I do know that that ia one sweet lookin ride you have there! Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

That's a great looking Plymouth. Love the black steel wheels with dog dishes. That's the plan for my 73.

I see you're in Plainfield, IL. I once bid a job to make new facade windows for the Opera House there. The big guys, something like 4' x 8' dimensions, 8 of 'em. Didn't get the job (bid too high because I work all by hand, no power tools), but I still have the blueprints. Cool building!

If you can't find the dash emblem and are sort of handy, gimme a yell and I can cast you a couple of blanks to finish out. When I was doing my '71, no one was making the dash emblems, and they are almost impossible to find. I got a clay mold from an original emblem, and cast some up.

Thanks for the thumbs up. Here are a few more pics

I also included a pic of a modification to the stock radio. Gutted a broken one and added a 2 channel mini amp wit AUX input jack. Original volume turns it on and the tuner knob controls the volume with the help of the clear tubing. I hide the MP3 in the ashtray.

Thanks Ron. I've always been accused of thinking outside the box, and if I can't find what I need, I'm not afraid to try and make it out of something else. It's been an interesting life at least :)

Good talking to you on the phone today John, I'll get the emblems cast up and in the mail to you so you can finish them out. I sure hope you keep the enthusiasm you have for the car, it's a nice one for sure.
