Hi guys!

My name is Jukka Turunen, live in west coast of Sweden.

Today i got to be owner of a Plymouth Sport Fury 1964.

I fell in love with this model 5 years ago, this is a realy rare car
in Sweden, finaly one got to sale and i bought it.

Its a 383HP model sold new in Sweden, this must have been a
supercar in Sweden 1964 when Volvo did ugly cars with 75 Hp

Today io drove the car in very ugly weather from the east side of Sweden
to the westside, now sweden is not a big contry as USA but still the drive took
more than 5 hours...
Yes, sure a preppd 727 that shifts fast is cool, but try it in the -8 degrees
(celsius) and snow... intresting expirience..... did not like it...
dont recomend it if you have a Mopar, Ford and Chevy people should do this every day ;-)

I was very carefull and drove about 90km/h the hole way, i think she likes me
and i love her, new car and i dont know it so i took ít easy, but on a long straight in
¨middle of nowwhere" i gave the 383HP some extra fuel and air, she souded great...
I think i fell a tear in my eyes, (but dont tell anyone).....

Car is kindoff molested by some "1970 disco era guy" but i will try to make it back to
the closest to original as i can.

Could need a friend in USA who could help me with idiot questions who is a owner
of a Sport Fury/Belvedere 1964, will also need some parts, so is there a guy as
nice and me on that side of the pond ??

First idiot question might be, what is the diffrence between a Sport Fury and a Belvedere 1964 ??
Second -> Where can i find high quality/wide steel Wheels that can fit the Dogdish Hubcaps?

Sorry for my bad spelling, im from Sweden.....

Best Mopar Regards

Congratulations on your purchase. The car looks great. The difference between the belvedere and sport fury was the trim level. The sport fury came standard with the hard top and they came with console, bucket seats and more chrome trim.

Welcome Jukka!

Nice looking car! You have your first story to tell about your car already. Congrats :VB toast:

Welcome great looking 64

Welcome aboard. Thats a very nice 64 Sport Fury you got as it looks great. Myself I own a 63 Sport Fury and I like it alot as I love all the older Mopars. As for the body style's in 63 it was like in 64 where actually the Savoy , Belvedere , Fury and Sport Fury are all the same car and body style but the Savoy is the stripped down low line model and they go up in extra's and accesories and trim along with other options as the line gets better. But the Savoy is the low line and then the Belvedere is next with more options and a slightly nicer look to it. Then the Fury gets even nicer interior and more chrome to it and sometimes even better eng options. Then the Sport Fury is the top of the line with bucket seats standard not a bench seat like the Savoy has and the Sport Fury has the nicest interior and the most chrome on it also. Body wise they are all the same body as they just get fancier as you step up to the next one like a Fury is fancier then the Belvedere. Hope that helps a little. Glad to have you with us and of course ask any questions you have as there are many Mopar fanatics here who know a ton of info on them. Ron

Welcome and your English is fine. lots of help and parts here on FBBO. good luck

Welcome--you have a very nice Mopar there..You came to the right website..lots of information here.

No doubt your heater works good?? thats quite the adventure.......................MO

Welcome from Weeki Wachee Florida. Excellent taste in cars. Joe Suchy in Georgia is an authority on these cars. Sells lots of parts. Good guy. He doesn't have a website. You will need to look him up, and call him. Wheel Vintiques makes wider wheels for our cars.

Welcome to the site Jukka. That's a nice looking Sport Fury. I'm sure that you will find the members on this site knowledgeable and helpful. I'm adding a picture of my Belvedere so that you can see the difference in the trim. Lycka Till.004.jpg

Thanks for the warm welcome and pictures of nice rides !

First set on questions:

1. What is the bolt pattern and offset of the wheels?
2. Can somebody take a picture of the (dont know the name) space in back of
back seat where many mounts spekars, in my car somboby killed a cheep
and made this "horrible thing", i have the red/white interial.
3. I am in need of a grill, somebody made holes and mounted orange
(dont know the name) Blinks when turning (as seen in my picture)
Also grill has some damage in the middle.
4. there are many makers of inside door panels, whitch of them do you recomend?
5. also would like some help with decoding fendertag, vim number is 3441176042
and i attach the fendertag.

looks like it should bee white from the factory. I believe no.5 is 383cui.
backspacing of 4,5" and 8" wide wheels works at the rear, bolt pattern = 4,5"x5.
I have a set of door panels on order from sms interiors, been waiting for almost 1,5 years now.

Hi Guys...

What was the factory Rear axel Gear ratio on the Sport Fury 383/727 or did the buyer decide this?

Best Regards
Jukka

I got all my interior from legendary. Talk to Dante's. He may be able to get you a cheaper price on Legendary products.
