New to the forum...

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum, but definitely not new to Mopars! I currently have (my 4th) Plymouth Satellite. It's a 1969 Sport Satellite, 318 & A/T but it will soon (in car restoration time...) have a 383, 4 speed and 3.23 Sure-Grip. I recently acquired a terminally rusty 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 Wagon with a factory 383 "four barrel" A-833 4 speed and the aforementioned Sure-Grip -- the 383 runs well and will be a great donor for the Satellite. I'd consider restoring the wagon, but it's got rust through at the drip rails, hood, lower rockers, etc.

Anyway, I've learned a great deal already and will definitely have questions as I go along. I appreciate the amount of information available here and the willingness of everyone to help out.

Welcome to FBBO from Sonora Calif., 100 miles south east... I lived down that way in Rancho Murieta for a little over 10 years or so 1997-2007, ya gotta love Sac. weather...

I will try to post some pics or video of both cars this coming weekend, assuming I can figure out how to do that!

I will definitely be at Mopars in the Park on the 21st n Rancho Cordova -- always a great show. Also want to pull a valve cover soon to see whether the 383 has the 516 or 915 heads...I thought all 383s in 1967 came with 516s, but from what I've (now) learned, I guess some came with the 915s?

Welcome from Tennessee. I have recently found a 1969 satellite with 318 LA and 904 automatic. Look like all orig. drive train. Haven't had much time to work on her yet. I do have so pic on my thread if you are interested is seeing the rusty beauty I'm trying to save. My thread is newby from tennessee. Anyway welcome aboard and maybe we can share some stories as we go along the road of our restos.

Sounds good to me - I will be sure to post photos once the restoration commences. I'm lucky in that my Sport Satellite is 100% rust free, having spent its entire life in Arizona...unlike my previous '69 Sport Satellite, which had the rust at the rear window and in the trunk...

See you at the Sac Show. Cell # on the dash card along with "do not judge. I had a 69 too. Medium blue metallic, blue interior, black vinyl roof. Buckets, console, 318 auto. 10"drums all the way around. Beautiful car, nice grille with Sport Satellite script in there. Drove the car to California and sold it here in the early 90's.
