I need a turn signal switch assembly for a 1974 Plymouth Satellite Custom 4 door 225 slant six. I have purchased 3 already and all of them are wrong. I went to every parts store in the area and they are all showing a assembly with two electrical connectors instead of just the one that I have.

Part number on mine is 3488804. I found a couple online ranging from $53 to $185. Every one of them are companys Ive never heard of. Anyone have a reliable source where I can pick one of these up? Car is our of commission until I get this fixed.

Thanks in advance.

Found this on Yearone.com's site, this is the closest one I can find that looks like mine even has the correct 8-pin blue flat connector. But it states its for a 1970 E-body.

that one is really really close, but it looks like the mounting holes are off and the center of mine is a smooth circle with a single notch in it..not sure if that makes a big difference or not. Rest of the wires seem to be good....I just found a NOS one for $125 anyone thing it will still be good and worth the $131 price tag?

I am having a terrible day. Just received the NOS turn signal switch and although the fit is perfect, I didnt think about the wiring being coroded. Those wires have been curled up in a box for 30+ years and made all kinds of cracking and popping sounds as I tried very carefully to straighten them out. Got it installed in the car but must have broken some wires while trying to straighten it...so now im out $131 and still dont have functioning turn signals. If it werent for bad luck I wouldnt have any luck at all. :(

That sucks.
I hope you left the steering wheel off when you tested the signals.
NOS electrical items are a crap shoot.
I left my wheel off when I tested my TS switch.

Yeah, I left the wheel off, cause I wanted to make sure everything worked before buttoning it all back up. What a nightmare for a simple problem. Now Im looking at purchasing one from Atlas obsolute chrysler parts for $60

put an aftermarket switch in today and back to same problem, I have fully functional hazards but absolutely ZERO turn signals (Inside car or out). I changed all the fuses just to be safe and have now installed two serparate switches...what am I missing?

What would cause the hazards to work but not the turn signals? Rule out fuses and rule out the turn signal switch.....whats left

OK! I think I found the problem...went to www.mymopar.com and printed out the wiring diagrams for the 74 satellite/roadrunner. According to this wiring schematic there are TWO flashers...a hazard flasher with three wires going to it (Pink, red, and black) and a DIRECTIONAL Flasher with 2 wires going to it (Red and black). I found the hazard flasher and that is one that I have already changed and has the three wires going to it and the flasher itself has only 2 prongs. Which leads me to believe there is another flasher somewhere in this car.

Anyone with a '73-'74 satellite or roadrunner have any idea where this second flasher is located?

Also I need a new bracket for my radio, I just bent the hell out of it.

Thanks!

RonP, I give you props I ran downstairs, felt up under the dash between the ash tray and the glovebox and what do you know, theres the directional flasher. Popped in a new flasher and I have turn signals again !!!!!! If you ever come to Longview, Ill buy ya a case of your choice of brewski....just made my day.

LOL no problem. Glad to help.
