So, I bought this set of new arms (bushings, ball joint installed - ready to go) from Mancini. I've seem similar at Summit, Dr. Diff.... I don't know if they are all made at the same place.

Anyway, I go to install and it seems to be maybe 1/4 inch too wide? I have confirmed the correct ones ordered. I have not heard back from Mancini for several days about this yet, but thought I would post here and see if any of you guys know what to do. Looking for suggestions... thanks!

Even replacing the bushings in the same arms you take out can be tough to reinstall. You may need help and a big dead blow hammer and maybe a pry bar.

I had the same issue with my firm-feel a arms. After a little bit of time and some colorful words, I was able to coerce them into place with a hammer and a block of wood.

I believe he is saying they are to big not to tight. Correct?

Are ya familiar with the term BFSI? It's just what you need...

Another way of doing it is with a BFH..

I think I would try putting a clamp on it before trying to install. Might help some. Then the BFH!

I think it was the latter for me :) .... I decided to try the other side. It had the same problem, but not quite as much, so using a little strategic hammering with a 4 pounder and a pickle fork as a persuader, I got it in.

So.. back to the first side which was really too wide. I thought, we'll have my assistant (daughter) hold the arm 90 degrees on the cement resting on its bushing. I took the BFH and rapped firmly straight down a few times on the other bushing. After few times of doing that and test fitting, everything got narrow enough do the above strategy too.

Short story.. They're IN!!!

Thanks to all for the help!
