newbie restoring a 1970 superbee

Hi All. New to the site. Had a question about this superbee i bought. Started researching about it and have noticed the ignition is in the dash[1969] and not on steering column as 1970's are supposed to be. If anyone has seen this or has some info about this, that would be appreciated. Also the VIN# WM23N0A216360 should be a 1970 not 1969. thanks dallas
