newbie with '67 Belv. II

Hi,
I am getting the '67 Belvedere II two dorr I inherited from my grandparents out of storage. My grandparents bought it new in April '67 from Coral Way Chrysler Plymouth in Fort Lauderdale. I drove it from my 17th birthday in 1983 until just when I got out of college and the transmission died, 1991. My Dad put a 340 in it while I was in college, but I still have the original 318.
Now it has sat so long that the 340 needs a tear-down.
Is there a book anyone suggests that will actually help? Of course I have the original shop manual, as well as the one for the '72 340. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm sharp, I can follow directions, and I have a full set of tools, etc. I've already pulled the engine and sought a little local help.

Welcome to FBBO there are lots of books, but not for just 67 Belvedere's, try Mancini Racing they have "How To" & Manuals/Book sales periodically & the old stand-by GOOGLE search & Amazon, is always good for finding "How to Books"... Maybe Barnes & Nobble, Worthers Books etc., Kind of depends what your trying to build, what is the final usage/intent ??... Mopar Performance "Engines 9th Edition" #P5249704 & other LA Small Block Mopar Wedge MP build books are a decent read, MotorBooks, S/A Design, HP-Books & CarTech are publishers that put out allot of informative books also...

I've seen plenty of books for rebuilders, but I was wondering if any one particular is recommendable.
And I plan to post a few pictures IF I can get them off my dying laptop. I forgot to back everything up on the Web.

Oh, the final intent is to just have a nicely performing dependable driver. Nothing for the track, nothing for show, just a little bragging rights (it IS a 340, afterall) and a lot of dependability around town.
