Hi everybody

I have been searching and searching for installation instructions pictures of the N96 air grabber with no luck. I have run across the one schematic from the 1969 service manual (which I also have) and it does not say much. I have a 1968 Coronet with a 1969 or 1970 (I don't know which) N96 hood with dual scoops. I purchased the 1970 air grabber system from classic industries (because I like red better than black) and there are no instructions. Also the system I purchased has only a 4 pre drilled holes (2 on the outside of the left and right section corners and none on the center section).

My question is the service manual shows only 3 rivets to attach all 3 pieces to the hood, the kit came with more than 3 rivets and the rivets are larger than the predrilled holes in the airbox but way smaller than the holes in the hood they line up to. Where do the rivets and bolts go. The service manual does not show any bolts other than the ones that hold the seal to the center box, which my center box BTW does not have any predrilled holes to mount the seal. How does this thing attach? With no predrilled holes it is pretty hard to see where the holes in the hood line up with the pieces when I hold them up there and what hole in the hood is for what.

Has anybody installed this one from classic industries or at least have good pictures and instructions of how to install a stock non reproduction so I can see how it is supposed to install and fabricate mine accordingly?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome. What part of Virginia are you from, and can u post pics of your car. I'm not sure how you would install your the part you are talking about sorry.

One thing that would help you out would be to remove the hood and flip it over. Then you could lay the box on the hood
