Well my back finally said enough. I blew out my lower back a few years ago training for the Powerlifting World Championships. I woke up this morning to get ready for work and I could hardly get out of bed. I am hoping that it stops hurting enough to get the car going before April 16th. I have been putting off getting the surgery but I guess I will just have to bite the bullet on do it. I guess it isn't going to heal itself.

I feel your pain. I was working on Dads care two weeks ago while haveing back spasams. Not fun, ended the night early.

Surgery is a last resort but you got to do what you do. Not much worse than back pain.

I agree on the surgery. I have taken it easy for the last two years. 2010 has been a trying time. I was living off of pain pills the last half of the year. I started getting back injections the last three months and they only last about 3 weeks. The last two days have been horrible. The pain has been so bad that I have been up chucking and I hate to admit it but some tears were shed. So surgery it is. I hope I can get this done so I can run the car this year. Oh well maybe late this year.

Sry to hear- Ive had back pain in the past and it just leaves you helpless -kind of pain
Good luck man

Hope the surgery helps!I feel your pain for sure.

I know a back surgery is much different, but 16 months with a new hip, and it's great. as they always say - wish I'd done it sooner. I hope you are able to get some relief from your pain. If you think it's inevitable, go ahead and have the surgery as soon as you can so you'll be better sooner. Good luck.

Been there, You'll be glad you did get it over with, hope you get well soon.. Summer commin quick.

Thanks guys.

I found out today that my consultation is on Wednesday the 7th so hopefully he can get me in soon after.

Even though I could do without the pain, it is kind of nice telling my wife "I would help if I could"

Hope your getting a little relief today, I know how that is, Doctor could give ya something to help ease it...... Ron

Doc gave me some vikadin but that stuff had me freakin out; wasn't a pretty site. I have some other stuff now. It works OK; enough to let me get some sleep anyway.

Must have been the strong stuff, make ya take back stuff ya didn't even steal! Least your getting some relief, sounds like they gave ya a panic attack, not good thing!! G-Luck man..

Vicodin worked great for me. The doc had me taking 12 a day after I came home from the hospital. Aside from the pain relief, they made me a great patient. I thought my good mood was from being off work until I realized it was the drugs. LOL I can see why some people don't want to stop taking them. Not a problem for me, fortunately.
