I have a lady interested in an original Charger / Cuda "FUEL" gas cap I've had for several years. This is NOT the $100 repop you see on ebay -- it's a NOS item in its original blue and white box.
I see comparable gas caps on ebay once in awhile for $500+ (yikessss!!!!) but mine has a small divot / gash that could be repaired. A few flecks of paint are also missing but the chrome / scallops are in amazing shape.
She's very interested and made a somewhat nominal first offer but I don't want to rip her off or be ripped myself ... I'd rather see her finish her car than plan my retirement off this thing. I just want to be fair.
Yes, I do have a low post count here but have over 5,000 on FABO (I own a '68 Fastback Barracuda); I figured you B Body guys would be a more reliable audience with accurate input since you're probably more familiar with these.
Here's a few pics of my gas cap; I have 19 more if close ups of anything in particular are necessary for a good evaluation (I'll add a couple of the box / part number in my next post).
The red you see in the pictures isn't rust either, it's a reflection of the red jacket I was wearing when I took the pics.
Any input would be sincerely appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to read this. :-D
