If I remember correctly 68's were black knobs and early 69 models were black knobs and then changed to chrome knobs somewhere around mid year? I can't remember the dates. They will interchange

68 charger definitely is with black knob. Of course there a 68´cars with chrome knob but not 68´charger. That is what your title says.
