I think 70 may have used a long bracket like 71. As far as color it's what Sparton sprayed on them. I had about 25 of these later issue purple horns and they seem consistent in this color..

Okay thanks, I'd better go look at mine and compare bracket before I buy. Mine the flex plates from bracket to horn, one is cracked open.
