I saw this car when it first came in to this dealer down the road from me, asked about the car, guy said it was a 318 conversion, which I suspected as it didn't look right with the 383 magnum emblem on the hood and the 8-1/4 rear end installed, and missing all the rest of the badges. Its a hacked up restomod/conversion, has modern gauges, but its got messed up wiring, someone just punched stuff through the bulk head, its missing the wipers, hood pins, and all the trim and bumpers have been painted black, the drip rail seals are not eve installed correctly and its missing the ebrake and brake pedal rubber. Seems to me this price is way too high, and I didn't think they made an RT in 73, but I could be wrong?

Does this seem to be a reasonable listing price to you? I told the guy it was a 15K car at best.

Here is the link.

Yeah, I don't hate it either, but that price is a bit too high for what it is, and its funny, they have it listed as a vehicle type: camper. LOL

Lol, yeah, I saw that. I was half expecting to see some sort of horrifying challenger / RV half breed lol.

I'm thinking about $12k tops. There's a resto-modded Cuda that's been for sale for two years around here, and they're wanting $24k for that, but a dealership is going to charge more to cover overhead.

Big, open-pattern wheels with stock drums showing...feh. And is silver/grey argent paint really THAT hard to come by? Gotta be a flipper, nobody who actually LIKES a car would turn it out like that.

I don't give a **** about how horribly built it is, who the hell takes pictures of a dirty interior to sell a car....

I've seen a whole lot worse, for even allot more... I'm not a hater either, but it's
not really the right price for that car thou...

once again, the chevy build department blasts the engine bay with 4 bucks worth of walmart flat black spray bombs. disgusting...

Only big blocks came in R/T's and no big blocks from 72 on in the E body....all the rest were Rallye Packs. You could get one with a 340 in 70 and the darn thing looked just like an R/T except for the badges weren't there. I had one and dumb *** me let it get away. Actually, I was re-doing it (didn't restore cars that new lol) in 85 when a guy came by and offered me stoooopid money just for the body (it was totally rust free). His son crashed his R/T was was going to use my body to bring his car back to life. Told him to please not tell me what he planned to do.....

This car reeks of "if it's too expensive to fix properly - rattle can it."

You'd think that a dealer that's trying to sell classic cars on the internet would pull the cars outside and take some decent photos of their inventory. Maybe they don't really want you to have a good look at it.
