If this needs to be moved or changed in any way, admins, feel free to jump in.

What is the Cam lift and are those TTI Headers for his GTX or A-Body? :moparsmiley:
Any info on the 727 included?
THANKS.

Not enough information for a 8K build.

I felt the same way. It was his brother’s who passed away and he didn’t know much about it. I told him I’d at least try to help him out and spread the word. More than I could spend right now. My Uncle and I were thinking maybe in the $5k range. Honestly what do you guys think? I really have no clue.

I see a few higher dollar goodies externally. Sounds like it could be a little much for an automatic build and the street. No specifics on the engine, pistons, cam, compression, valve train, balance, etc. Aluminum heads is a plus. Not that it matters on a built engine, but a non HP originally. For me the date codes would be relevant. It's with a transmission, but no information there either. If it fit my needs, I would be at 4-4.5 thousand. The main reason is I'm going to have more into it because I'm going to do some disassembly to know exactly what I have. Granted I usually have about 5K in a build, but I already have the engine so that is in parts and machine work and balanced assembly's. Labor is on me. I guess that's my 4 cents worth.

Jerry, Thank you very much for the input. This is what I was thinking, but have never built a motor, or am familiar with pricing. This at least lets me know I was thinking on the right track. Thanks!

I have the same engine sitting in my pole barn it's a 440 out of 1967 300 I built a few years ago. I got $6000 in it including the trans and convertor. Just to give you an ideal. Mine all new internal parts plus heads redone block decked etc.
