1970 PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNER PROJECT CAR MOPAR
$12,500
Condition
  • Used – good

Selling as a rolling body. This is a fairly solid Alabama car. It would be an easy one to build into a nice driver. 85 to 90 percent of the parts are there for the car including the grille, front valance, seats, and rear bumper that aren't pictured. It is a real RM21 Road Runner. It was originally b5 blue, 383, auto, bench seat. It still has the original 489 case 3.23 sure grip. I have the fender tag and clean title. $12,500

Blue on blue with gold dust trail and trunk stripe. Gorgeous car if saved and restored.

Nothin' says lovin' like spraying primer over rusty Mopar trunk floors...they shoulda just sprayed the floor pans while they were at it..."fairly solid" Oh I'm sure heehee!
As for "85 to 90% of the parts are there..." without pictures of them, I'd consider that BS too until proven otherwise....but that's just me.
And, I'm not super familiar with the 70 but is there supposed to be those huge holes in the wheel tubs?

The floor pans may be original but the trunk floor is a two piece replacement. And no, there shouldn't be holes in the inner wheel tubs. :)

Hello still
Have the car?

Hello still
Have the car?
It's not my car, never was...I was just posting up some information that the seller failed to do himself.

Seller has not been on site since February this year...so my guess is the car has gone, or at least the seller has lost interest.

Worth a shot though.......calling @alldatjazz

A hull, even rusty spaghetti strainer, basket case,
brings like $10k (if your lucky) min. now, more if it has extra parts
We see it all the time here, they aren't cheap anymore
to buy or to build, it's not 1977 anymore either...

I bought my running & driving 1968 RM23 HT 383 TF727
LL1 Surf Turquoise metallic poly, opt. semi gloss black spot on the hood
Black Decore Int. & Full trim package, light package
Rusty 14" chrome Road wheels, with new tires, 3.23:1 Sure-grip
a car with 67K miles, nearly rust free, or complete, but ran hard & put away wet,
driven locally by a old Carpenter, it was his daily driver for years
(found his pouches & a shitload of loose16d framing nails down the side of the trunk,
some smaller rust spot because of it
)
Found it, in Rio Linda area when I was in living in Rancho Murieta Ca,
primed after sitting in a lean too, it had some bad dents, but not replacement panel severe...

I purchased it in Dec. 2005 for $6k, guy was asking $7k, it was a running & driving car
all of it was there, a lil' rough, ran like crap, needed the fuel system replace 1st thing
the daughter inherited it, her husband put a new Pioneer stereo in it (decent job)
but it was complete,
at almost the peak of the muscle car rage &
Big $$$ sales, up into 2007

everything was $50k + to the millions, people were going nucken' futs
then it piddled out a bit before the current craze...

back then;
I couldn't find a solid & any mostly rust free Cailif. car, for less than $20k,
even in much worse condition, I was being cheap, wanted to get another RR
before they were out of reason in price,
let alone a complete car, running (not well) & driving, clear title & registered etc.

I wouldn't sell mine for less than probably $45k - $50k now,
if
I ever do sell it
& it's no trailer queen or no show car, by any stretch,
that just what the going prices are
but;
it was not some rusted out hull either, because being a Calif. car it's whole life
it's also been garaged the past 20 years since too

I do have lots of hrs in it, over & over the near 20 years now, lots of parts bought
& changed my mind a few times, another $25k, sort of subpar respray etc.,
but far better than the primer, it came with...

"it's a lot different today"

IMHFO the cars aren't selling for a bunch more finished,
but are selling for a lot more "as projects" now, $10K - $15k is nothing now
You're way better off to buy something more complete, running & driving
spend more up front, be way better off & just finish it yourself...
