Not oft seen video - Green Berets...

That’s when men had balls and weren’t neutered for being masculine and showing aggression and strength.

If interested in Green Barets read about Viet Nam MACV-SOG.
Top Secret operation for 20+ years

Johnny Horton said it well...

RIP Uncle Tink
(Marine Col./Brigadier Gen. Army some 35 years in a uniform 1941-1976, started as grunt)
enlisted in the Marines volunteered served in WWII, then Korea as a Marine,
went up thru the ranks & then Viet Nam
& Uncle Jim, Tink's son (1st Lt Marines/Captain Army),
both were eventually Green Berets in Viet Nam
His other son Pete, youngest, went to college 1st, was a Marine staff officer
didn't stay in very long...

Jim was one of the last guys off the embassy, as I was told

Uncle Jim & I were really close,
he gifted me his beloved 68 Barracuda Formula S 383 4speed fastback
after he died at age 39 from complications from the war/s
he bought that car new in late 1967 (?) a lil' while before he was deployed,
for the 1st time, in 1968

My Uncle Tink was my mentor in hunting, fishing, hunting dogs & shooting sports

all 3 of them were Marines 1st, both Tink & Jim 1st class men
& then reenlisted to become Army, Grene Berets
like father like son

MACV-SOG story is a video that popped up in the same group on YT that the posted video was.
YES, MACV-SOG stands for "Covert Kick-*** Xtreme"...
A special "Thank you! Glad you made it back home" to the Green Berets and all Special Forces warriors of the United States!!

Best time of my life.
Kicking *** and helping those who need it the most.
I feel unworthy to even say "Thank You" but Thank You!!
I take it you enjoyed the job, so if that's correct, that makes it even BETTER!!

68 Barracuda Formula S 383 4speed fastback
What a great car and amazing way to show his love, respect, friendship, trust...any or all of those to you!
I don't recall you ever posting anything about that, but that's not to say it wasn't buried somewhere in one of those EPIC albeit occasional
WALLS OF TEXT

I absolutely loved it (most of the time), I spent over 26 years in with over 17 in Special Forces. Not a day goes by that I don't think about some aspect of it, talk to a team mate or someone I served with, etc. It was/is not a job, it was/is a lifestyle.
