Depends on what the casting date is on the driver's side of the block.
The "S" could be for service engine, which could have been used as a warranty replacement or an over the counter sold block, short block, or long block. The "S" could also be a model year designation, but I don't THINK that they went that high in the alphabet. However they did build 440 engines for motor homes long after they were discontinued in passenger cars and pick up trucks so it COULD be a model designation code.
The 440 is the C.I.D. of the engine and the other numbers are the assembly date code.
