Offset Leaf Spring Shackles?

I really want to find out whether or not anyone has used these on their 66-67b-body? Does it help for tire clearance or is it just a fad? Someone give me some insight on whether it is a good modification. I am not wanting to mini tub or do the three inch conversion. I know I read in moparmuscle an 68 fish a-body with this mod got a 10 inch tire afterwards. I want a 275/60/15 but have heard they rub when turning hard or hard acceleration.

What I generally do is move the front hanger against the frame. To do this, you have to drill a clearance hole for the bolt through the frame rail for the eye bolt. I drill new bolt holes but I also tack weld the brackets then I either make or buy the offset rear hangers. Moving the front hanger over flush with the frame only gives you about 1" but an inch more of tire clearance can make the difference.
