I've got a 440 that was built for a challenger, using the mancini 6qt "hemi" front sump pan.

Now I want to put this engine into an early B (65 coronet). I know the early K frame will require changing out the pan.

If I switch to a later B K frame and components...I should be able to use the pan as-is, yes?

If so, what year B body donor is needed?

I could just switch the pan for the early B type....what aftermarket pan is recomended?

The car may be AWB....if so, then any pan will work. Just thinking out loud.
thanks
Mike

Yes, if you use a (say) 69 K frame, then the Hemi pan will work. Keep in mind that it is a SIX quart pan, and anything else will (probably) be a FIVE quart pan

If you change the k member the engine will be moved closer to the firewall.A lot of extra work.I would find the right oil pan.
