Grandpa farts?

Ok, but seriously, I dropped my tank on the project. Last filled up over 2 years ago. Probly still about 3-4 gallons in there. What do I do with it?
Could I just add a little to my DD every time I fill up? Like 15/1 new to old ratio?
I dont want to waste it...gas aint cheap...LOL.

I think it would be fine to use small amounts of it in other vehicles. Transfer it through a sock into a gas can and mark the can. Test some of it out in a lawnmower that you run out of gas, just put a little in, enough for it to run for a minute. If it doesn't run or run good then you know how much of it you can use at a time.

Does it smell anything like good gas? If it's bad, it won't smell like good gas and imo, use it to kill weeds instead of taking the chance of getting varnish deposits in your fuel system. Btw, gas with ethanol in it goes bad in a few months....

I've run old gas that smelled like varnish but I mixed it similar to the way Matt is describing. Never had a problem.

I've done it too with cars that I didn't care about and with newer ones with fuel injection too. Not sure what was in the last batch I did that with but I ended up going into the tank on my 95 Dakota and cleaning it out and had to replace 1 injector that I couldn't get working right. The truck has a straight pipe so I don't worry about messing up a converter but I'm more picky what I feed it now and especially so after having to fix or replace the carbs on both my trial bikes, pressure washer, weed eater and generator! Old gas sucks plain and simple. I also use Sta-Bil religiously and treat all gas that sits for even a short while. The junk we burn here is E10....

you are right crank. e.f.i. won't take it. i have run some **** through some of my storage cars. their carborated and give a little more.
my boat with 2 e.f.i. engines screwed up on a batch. rick

X2, MOWER GAS! That what I do. I'm 40-ish, and gas today aint what it was! Due to tweaking for emissions and stuff, it has a much shorter shelf life than it used to. Thats a fact.
