I have a set of old mags that came off a 66 coronet I had. I believe the brand is E-T as it is stamped on the front. On the back it is stamped wheel centre co. walnut creek california. I have uploaded a photo of one. I am trying to figure how much these may be worth or if they are even worth redoing. They are universal lugs holes (oblong) and have no curb rash or dents. The center caps need to be redone. I have heard about old magnesium rims that look like these but not sure if these are or not. Any help would be great.

Not sure what they are worth but to me, a uni-lug wheel is worthless. I won't run them anymore. And I don't know of any magnesium wheels that were ever produced with the uni-lug set up.

I started doing more internet searches and found that these may be the first aluminum rims that were produced by E-T. They have 3 different eras of rims and this one is in their first lineup. These used the unilug cause it was easier to work with at the drag strips.

I have a pair of same wheels sitting in garage. Cleaned up they look great. Another mans trash is anothers treasure :) I love unilug...makes for easy swaps to other cars and easy to sell if need be.

I had googled ET II's when I first found mine...in the trash lol. And theres an article out there showing a set redone. Great article.

Just make sure you use the correct lug nuts with them. I've seen many messed up wheels and broken lugs over the years because of that....AND, I actually had a wheel come off of a car that I was driving. It was my buddies 69 Road Runner 4 speed and we just got done wringing it out hitting 100+ mph with it. Luckily we were in the neighborhood going back to the house and driving slow when it happened but the tire still had enough momentum to run across someone's yard and bounce over the landscaping brick and into a window!! The wheel gave a very short warning and I wasn't able to come to a complete stop before it came off....

do you have 2 boats by chance? if you do, tie a rope to each one and use them as boat anchors. you might be able to sell them, but UNI-LUG wheels are nothing but dangerous and deadly, and should be outlawed if they're not already. anyone with any amount of smarts about them would know better than to put them on their car.....or anyone elses car. they LOVE to shear off lug studs! best of luck !

Those wheels are fairly common at swap meets here in Calif, cleaned up (blasted, painted, polished)to look good they will sell for around $300/set. Lots of folks love old things. The biggest problem with many old wheels is they do not have clearance on the backside to clear disc brakes.

They are fairly common at swap meets around there too....and whenever I end up with them, I scrap em.

While I don't sell parts, I wouldn't throw away a few hundred dollars.
