One-piece 440 windage tray + gasket

I've only used the steel MP style trays but I decided to give Summit's composite piece a try. My question is, are you folks using any sealers with them? I figure a little's needed at the timing cover and rear seal retainer joints, but the rest of it?
I have a Milodon pan by the way, with the typical recessed 'dimples' between the bolt holes. I saw after searching around that some guys filled those with RTV or even JB-weld in some cases? Is that really needed? It does look like the rubber sealing strips on the tray run through the dimples a bit, but is it enough to leak if the recesses aren't filled in?

Yeah, I used the Summit gasket/windage tray unit.
I wasn't sure about using sealer either, I read a few reviews of guys getting good results without sealers.
I just couldn't do it though, I had to use a little. I used it at the timing cover and rear seal holder seams.
I was taking my motor to a dyno and just didn't want any leaks.
The dimples in the 440Source Hemi E-Body oil pan didn't cause any leaks.

Thanks for bumping that up! I just read thorough it. It seems that filling the little dimples isn't needed. I might just do a dab at the timing cover.

As long as you're not in a hurry, you could fill the seems with a little RTV, smear flat, and let it cure.
That way it doesn't adhere to the windage tray, and it could be reused if need be.
