Looks like a very nice restoration was done. Hard to say about the paint just by seeing it on a computer monitor. Maybe someone on here could take a look at it for you?

Doors look lighter on my computer monitor too. Where is the car at? Like H2E said perhaps you can get someone to take a look for you ??

if you look close yes the color is off on the front fender to the door and yet the 1/4 panel color also is off color and it appears that the 1/4 is also darker than both the front fender and door , this happens a lot too people that reifinish parts serperatlly and aren't keeping track ,you see this a lot ,it can happen in solids and metallic, you ought to see when they do this when using candies or pearls, it can be corrected .

I see it pretty much steady on any resto where the parts are painted off the car and then assembled,90 percent of the time i see it in the doors. Not sure if its because the doors are painted flat and the rest upright how it would be on the car?One of the reasons my GTX was assembled before the exterior paint was done, little more work masking it off but worth it not to have different shades.

You beat me to the punch snakeyes

:the penguin:sorry budy ,you can refinish a car apart but, I have the parts mounted on stands upright as if the car is together .

Having been in the business for 40 yrs, I can say there's a few different ways to cause this condition. But most likely, it's the one these sharp guys already stated. The pigments on the part on a stand will lay flat, vs. the part next to it shot vertically. I've seen this especially on doors-to-qtr panels. It can be corrected. It wouldn't stop me from getting the car, this one looks really nice !!

Geez... You know, looking at a paint job on a computer (via camera lens/lighting/computer monitor and making a decision about it is pretty tough.
I can't tell you how many times my gold Dart appeared to look like a steel green, or my rootbeer brown GTX looked like brown enamel in photographs.

with respect to everyone's opinion, experience, and eyes, I would reserve judgement on the paint and possible issues with it, until I could see this car for myself.

Just my 2¢

Well that might be a little problematic for Aussie

The car is in Florida. I love the car, its everything that I want...except the color, but I think the off color doors would just eat at me and I wouldn't be truly happy with it. If someone was near Peakes auto restorations and could sneak a quick look that would be great, until then I just don't know what to do on this one.

Thanks for all the input blokes, much appreciated!
