"So we've asked our team to be looking at the possibility of criminal charges and ... if we have enough evidence to lay a charge of dangerous driving. We're also going to be looking at seizing the vehicles for good,"

I had an '82 or '83 Rabbit... it was a little more forgiving to the stupid way I
PHP:
drove it than an exotic would have been...

"police are looking at permanently seizing the vehicles." Of course they would because they would sell them and make a fortune, greedy bastards shouldn't do that.

I personnaly like it when they put hammer down on street racers! We had a big problem around here until Hulk Hogans kid tried to kill his friend, there was a lot of cheering when he weht to jail.

I'm sure these "kids" actually know how to drive, they weren't driving beat up Hondas. Their exotic cars looked very conservative with no rice look to them.

When the parents get involved those hi dollar cars will be back at home.

So they did not actually 'catch' them in the act and somebody reported that they were driving in excess of 200km (120mph) ?

So who is this witness with the radar equiped eyesight?

Wanna have some fun up there...call in a reckless driving report on some of the higher ups in the police depts and also the legislature.

Just make sure they were actually driving and get their plate number.

Don't ask how I know of this technique. :bootyshake:

I got into enough trouble with my 1971 Dodge Charger RT 440 in the late 70's. We would met :violent-smiley-100::rev_in_action:near a golf course where it had a perfect straight 1/4 mile run. Someone called, They were hiding in the wings. Guys line up for their first run. State Police got about 5 of us. Man that was costly. They didn't get us for drag racing. It was called unsafe start.(Burn outs). They inpounded the vehicles. Cost me over $500. for summons & car... Plus the crap I got from my Dad!

where were the big mufflers out the back????

If they got the money to buy those cars then they have enough money to get a good lawyer and get them back...I cannot see them keeping the cars...Not unless they are repeat offenders...

Bunch of rich kids got in trouble street racing, their rich daddy's lawyers will no doubt get them out of it, there isn't a car under the $100K level in the bunch.. I couldn't even imagine my Pops buying me a high dollar car, I had to earn my 1st car a 68 Charger R/T $350 at $1.65 per/hr doing carpentry work for Pops Construction Company, let alone a $100K+ car... If they would have had to earn the money to buy those cars they may have been more careful... If they had that much cash in those cars, why not rent a track for the day, or at least go some were were you don't get busted, stupid rich kids...

Hogans kid was driving a customized Supra and the guy he was racing was in a Viper.

These kids should never get a drivers licience. Can't respect the the road laws.Too bad so sad.Having a licience is a privialge in this country.

I actually see a bigger problem with core values and respect.

I just read a few pages of comments on that article. Some of you guys up north are wound pretty tight. And what the heck is a "New Canadian"?

I'm no innocent guy, I'm with you I did quite a bit of street racing in my youth, in the 70's... But always, way away from town, never any major issues, I was more afraid of my step father Bob finding out about me being stupid enough to get a ticket for street racing, then what the cops would do...

The list of "impounded cars" was never on the roster of cars on a Saturday back when we here used to do the same thing.. I believe 200 miles an hour was not in the mix either back then!
