OverHaulin Funny

I am watching an episode of OverHaulin. They are redoing a Ford Galaxie Convert. A lot of times they go overboard when they redo a car but this one is nicely done.

The reason for this post thought was when they popped the hood and started it I had to laugh. It is a BRAND NEW motor with a serpentine set up and the pulleys/belts were slipping. It sounded real bad. Wouldn't you think they could have gotten that fixed before they filmed it.

Must have missed this one. There is quite a few shows where the car wouldn't start, one in particular they had to explain to the owner they still had bugs to work out and couldn't run it for him at that time. They were putting that shows reruns on discovery channel but ive not seen it for quite awhile.

I don't know if I'd want my family heirloom car slapped together in a matter of days. They do good work but you know corners are cut on this and many other televised shows. The crew is exhausted and everyone is scrambling to get it painted/ started/ etc.

The Australian version, 'Downunderhaulin' will be starting in my garage in a few weeks!
