Painting seats question

I have the vinyl paint from Herbs- I know i can paint the vinyl but what about the material sections of the seats? Can those be painted and still hold their pattern?

I have painted material before,it fades or come off after awhile

The stuff from Herbs will stick to anything. Fabric should be no different.
