What is the best method for someone who does not own a paint gun or compressor?

I painted my 70 Cuda with spray can paint and it came out ok, but not great. But I used Krylon and I might have put it on a little heavy. :eusa_angel:

I ripped out my column last year to paint it as well. I just masked off a few parts and hit it with a rattle can of acrylic enamel. Came out great!

What is the best rattle can paint to use for the steering column.
Sem Trim Black, Rustoleum Satin or something else.BTW should the dash be the same color and gloss

i bead blast all the columns i restore, then paint them in self-etching primer. i use 1200 grit sand paper to scuff of the primer surface and then use a flat-black enamel (krylon) to finish them. they turn out well and are pretty scratch resistant.
