parking brake cable

Is it possible to disconnect the parking brake cable without removing the drum? It looks like it can in the picture below, but I have no idea how it would come apart. Thanks

For me looks more like the cable out of the cable holder because the clip to hold the cable in the bracket it’s gone ?

I didn't remove anything so if there was a clip holding it in place it was already gone. Can I disconnect the line there?

You can remove the intermediate cable. The rear cable housing is anchored by a U shaped clip, fits in the groove, already removed from your pic.

To answer your original question, No. To remove the cable, you need to remove the drum. The other option is to cut the cable if you just wish to free up the E-brake, provided it's not rusted right. You will need to replace the cable when rebuilding the assembly afterwords...

You probably have the clip that holds the cable loose inside the drum now. Need to pull the drum.

Thanks everyone. There was actually a wire clamp tucked behind the bracket I didn't see. I'm guessing my dad cut the cable at some point and then used the clamps to fix it after.

Just an FYI, I just bought those replacement cables and found that Rock Auto had them a lot cheaper than other places.
