How do I remove the parking brake assembly from a 1970 Roadrunner?
I saw the one under the pedal arm. Sounds like I need to remove the wheel, remove the splash shield to get to the nuts. Two nuts in the wheel well behind the splash shield and a bolt accessible behind the pedal after depressing it slightly.
Thank you, I looked at the splash shield today, there is a lot of road grime/undercoating down there. I'll take a look for the brake bolts in your photo, thanks again!
I took some photos tonight, here is what John's 1970 Roadrunner looks like. I think I see one of the 2 nuts, the other must be under the shield.Just glad Beekeeper was paying attention and you didn't tear the shield off already! Soak those nuts really good in rust breaker and if you can use a bit of heat before you try to turn them. They have a bad habit of snapping off the studs.
Looking at your clean photos, it must be under that flap. The flap looks to be connected with a push in connector. I think I need to work on removing the flap, but not the shield.I took some photos tonight, here is what John's 1970 Roadrunner looks like.
