Just wanted to let everyone know in the 68-70 B- body section. That I have original 1969 air conditioning components for sale in the For Sale section.

Just so you know and don't get ripped on in the future.. Every time you post something new it comes up on the home page. :) So no need to tell about a new posting. It will show up.

Btw, finding a 69 car in the south without AC was not all that easy. Only the hot rodders who wanted a fast as possible car bought them without it and then they didn't sell all that well later on (if they weren't blown up lol) because not many wanted one in the hot and humid Houston summers. That said, I think 300 bucks isn't too bad. Also, did you turn the clutch on the AC pump to see it if it's locked up or not? The pulley bearing can be nice and smooth but if you're only spinning that and not the pump......

Yeah, the way I understand it. Very few cars in the 60’s had ac period. Regardless of makes and model. Im sure in the colder climate regions. There were less. Ac wasn’t a common feature until the 70’s on a lot of cars. I understand what you mean about the hot roders. Im guessing the compressor weighs 50 pounds.

What made my car very unique, it was a convertible with ac in 1969

Years ago I weighed all the AC stuff from my 66 Belvedere I and yeah, it added up to a good bit of weight. Btw, most Belvedere I's didn't have AC because they were bottom of the line cars and I kinda wish now that I had kept the AC stuff but when I tore it all out, the plan was to race the car. Anyways, 80% of the cars I've had since the 60's were AC equipped. Never crunched the numbers of cars produced but the majority of them down here had AC lol. Even my first car...a 66 Belvedere II had it....
