Guys and gals, need some help. I bought a set of mirrors for the gtx and when I went to put the passenger side on, the door appears to have been replaced with a different model car. I am looking foe how far back the mirror sets on the door, from the front edge of the door to the leading edge of the mirror as it is mounted on the car. Thanks richard

I'll take a picture in the morning of my coronet. that should help you out.

Use Monacos dimesions, but also have someone hold the mirror in that place an make sure the vent window frame doesn't interfere with your line of sight. You might have to move it slightly forward or backwards.

if you put it where the driver side is it is useless at least on my fury it is , I guess it is on there for looks on some models

HI WERE DID YOU GET YOUR MIRRORS ,AND DID THEY LOOK LIKE THESE I THINK MINE ARE OLD SCHOOL AFTER MARKET JUST GOT THE CAR THANKS

There is a template in the factory service manual for dealer installed right hand mirrors.

I'm pretty sure it places the mirror in the same location as the driver's side.

Note that you do look through the vent wing glass.

To test functionality- sit on the passenger's side, and look at the driver's side mirror.....

63 placement doesn't help, as the doors, vent wings and mirrors are all different from 67.

In 68, they moved the mirrors rearward, so you looked through the door glass.

IMO this makes the angle more difficult, and head movement more severe taking away from straight ahead viewing time, and makes driving with your arm out the window much less comfortable.
