Guys this is my GTX, while I got the motor out I need to start trying to figure out my plans for this body work that I need to do. I've been told that I could repair this with a patch kit. What do you guys think?Where would I find patch kits at? image.jpg

I wouldn't order any replacement metal until you find out exactly the extent of the rust. Best way is to strip it down and get it media blasted. There might be some hidden surprises you aren't aware of.

I would be looking for a car with a creamed front quarter panel that this part could be cut from. Either that or cut and weld a piece from scratch. Nasty rust spot in a strange area from the picture. How does the rest of the car look? The bumper and trunk lid look a little rough too!

67GTX440, the rest of the car looks great the reason for this area is when my dad parked the car he laid a bag of fertilizer on the back corner. I've gotten the bumper rechomed and found another trunk panel and tail light. This is the one area that I'm having a problem with and not sure what to do.

Good to hear it is only the one spot - I envisioned the whole car looking like that area. I don't think anybody makes just the corner that you need. You might have to buy a full quarter and cut off what you need. I wouldn't think you would have a problem reselling the remaining chunk.

Surely there's a parts car out there for you. Keep an eye on the parting out section of FBBO. I would check with Moparmarks first thing though
