Hi. Haven't used PayPal in a few years and had to update some account info. I go to change my primary email and the system tells me to enter my bank acc. #.Makes sense. I do that right off my bank statement and the system won't accept it. Email them the problem,1-3 day response time. Call the toll free line, busy signal. When I get home from work I will cancel my account and setup a new one. Like I said ,what a joke.

Since they've changed the "front end", I can't find the place to mark a payment as "personal".

I don't do that much, but hey.

Somewhat off topic, but I've had a few ebay sellers contact me directly to my email, but get the link through ebay as the only way to reply.

When I go to the seller's profile, I can find no link to their direct email. What gives there?

Why would PayPal need your bank account information to change an email address? PayPal doesn't even HAVE any of my bank info, just one of my credit card numbers. It's worked fine for hundreds of transactions over the last few years.

I love Pay Pal, Haven't had one problem with them, and I have a PayPal credit card. I don't miss the days of getting a cashiers check to buy stuff online

I agree. The options are VERY limited.

...and the monopoly holder is even double dipping.

Nothing else seems to last, though.

I think it is a joke that ebay requires the use of paypal now. Oh yeah - almost forgot about all the fees involved.

I only buy on Ebag but Paypal has been great for me for over 10 years now. I do have a bank account set up (usually doesn't have much in it) so I can transfer funds from Paypal and also a credit card in case I don't have enough cash in the Paypal account to buy something from someone on the board. And it's great for local sales on Craigslist when someone starts asking for me to hold something for them. I just tell them if they have Paypal, to send a 10% deposit and I'll hold it for a week and 90% of potential buyers do it.

I once gave a person who purchased an item from me a VOLUNTARY refund of $6 because I accidentally overcharged them on shipping cost. Customer didn't notice the mistake but I did & I felt bad about it. Then PayPal placed a 21 day hold on all my transactions for which I would receive money because I had given someone a refund. I guess that's what I get for being honest.

I haven't had any problems with Paypal for a long time but I do it through my credit card so it's like I'm double protected. I would rather do it that way instead of giving them access to my bank account, but that's just me.

My issue has more to do with Paypals brutal lack of customer support. An email that they respond to in1-3 days. A helpline that has a busy signal 24/7. Are any people even employed there. All I've gotten is computer generated B.S. There I feel better now.

Try Ebay customer support! They are in S.E. Asia. I've been waiting for a response to a refund claim through their " buyer protection" for 2 months now. They just don't give a ****. Too many more people out there that they can make money off of, so the little guy gets screwed.

......I'm with you on that one sir. I remember to the dark days on ebay when one had to write a check or send a money order.
