Let's forget everyday distractions and NEVER forget Pearl Harbor and the sacrifices of our vets including POW and MIA.

"No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory" - - President Franklin D. Roosevelt, delivered Dec. 8, 1941

"Millions of people gave their lives fighting fascism and imperialism, but Pearl Harbor was the event that forever changed the course of human history." - - Sam Graves

"Pearl Harbor caused our Nation to wholeheartedly commit to winning World War II, changing the course of our Nation's history and the world's future." - - Joe Baca

"The lesson of Pearl Harbor ought never to be forgotten, and of course the motto that came from that, 69 years ago, the war which my dad fought, was 'Remember Pearl Harbor, never again.' We need to keep that to mind." - - Oliver North

"Today at Pearl Harbor, veterans are gathering to pay tribute to the young men they remember who never escaped the sunken ships. And over the years, some Pearl Harbor veterans have made a last request. They ask that their ashes be brought down and placed inside the USS Arizona. After the long lives given them, they wanted to rest besides the best men they ever knew. Such loyalty and love remain the greatest strength of the United States Navy." - - Former President George W. Bush, Pearl Harbor Day 2001

"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." - - Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto

"Never a day goes by for all these many years when I haven't thought about it. I don't talk about it too much, but when December rolls around I do. It's important the American people don't forget." - - Donald Stratton, WWII veteran

"To have the United States at our side was to me the greatest joy. Now at this very moment I knew the United States was in the war, up to the neck and in to the death. So we had won after all! ... Hitler's fate was sealed. Mussolini's fate was sealed. As for the Japanese, they would be ground to powder." - -Winston Churchill

The sad thing is both newspapers I read this morning made no mention of this sacred day. Are the liberals forgetting how we became this great nation on the backs of our military and what was sacrificed to defend this nation. As time goes on important dates like this are forgotten.

Thank you
to all that served & all the lost great men/women soldiers
truly a great generation, we are losing them so fast...

Thank you all, I can't ever say that enough...

One blurb in local paper about 100 or so bodies exhumed from Punchbowl cemetery for burial in the States. New DNA,etc testing identified them from previous unknown. Most from USS Oklahoma.

My uncle was a Pearl Harbor survivor and a career Navy man. One of the many great ones who dedicated their life to protecting our freedom.
May we never forget and always cherish their service. God rest their souls for the sacrifices they made.a

" You're damn right I'd do it all over again if I had to..."

The war was horrible in both theatres - Pacific and Europe. Hundreds of thousands died and millions were executed. The steadfast, brave warriors that fought against the perpetrating monsters should be enshrined and their sacrifices forever Injected into the minds and hearts of every succeeding generation. Alas our history is being washed away from younger generations being taught by legions of liberals who have no respect for the incredulous valor and sacrifice our great countrymen layed down their lives for so freedom could ring at home and around the world.

This is an indictment of all those that seek to bury our glorious past and the salvation of the sacred right of freedom - and instead curse our country and its history in attempts to keep younger generations from knowing the truths that saved the world. Everyone should know for the rest of mankind what was done to save it. This war and what it meant to the world should be engrained in every students mind so they have a chance to grow up loving and most of all respecting this great nation. I try to push the thoughts of what‘s really going on in education centers and in the halls of govt from my mind and prefer to focus on and live in the past and shun today and what appears to be the future. I remain grateful my parents have passed and unable to be witness to the horrible internal destruction of the greatest country the world has and will ever know. I find it almost impossible to utter the scripture - ”Forgive them Father for they know not want they do”.

May God Bless every Patriot both living and dead.

Terrible day for sure and the devastation… unimaginable!
Thank God for our veterans! Then and now!

I say bring back the draft to keep our military at full strength and teach these liberal a--h kids some self discipline.

Our power might have ebbed away after the war if the Soviet Union hadn't grown so strong. We had to keep a vigilant military and check communist aggression through out the world. We made mistakes in doing so and the Soviets did also.

"It would have been merciful had it killed me."
