Phil Roar who was well known with his 67 R-O Hemi Plymouth, "The ROAR IN HEMI" has died . Phil was a veteran from the Navy and busy man with 9 kids. He ran Shell and Marathon full service stations and was a member of the Ohio drag racing community. A memorial service is scheduled for April 29,2017 at the Heritage Nazarene Church located at 2264 Walnut Creek Pike , Circleville, Ohio 43113.
I became friends with Phil in the early 90's and he was also a member of our Mopar club, "Central Ohio Early Chrysler Product Owners". He opened a lot of doors for our club and we all had a good time. He also built and raced a 68 Hemi Dart from 1996- 2011 which is in my ownership now, and it also carries the "Roar in Hemi" logo on the side also. He seen his Dart a couple of weeks before he passed on and was happy. I know he is at God's drag strip right now.

RIP Phil

Sounds like a good family man who loved MoPars.....RIP Phil.

Rest in Peace Phil. Thanks for letting us now.

Larry that breaks my heart! Dad told me the other day that he heard Phil had passed.

I grew up watching him racing the likes of Marshall, Mink, Nicopolis, and Bagwell
