Does anyone have a dash out and can snap a few pics of the backside of the lower dash pad on a 68 Runner? I need to see what the nuts look like to get this thing off the dash frame but it is in the car and I can't see S*^t up in there at the moment. Just to give me a direction of where to head and what tooling to use to get to them.

That's cool! I won't be working on until the weekend again at the earliest. Thanks man!

No problem....shoot me a pm tonight so I do not forget...

Justin BTW the are the same as the upper dash pad too..

Ok will do. Thanks again!

The nuts are the stamped steel type - speed nuts I think they're called. 1/4 ratched with 6" extension and a deep socket ... 7/16 or 1/2.

This job is SO much easier with the dash out of the car.

Yea I know......dreading it but I just can't seem to want to rip the column and whole dash out. :(

Nope car is completely together now.

the nuts are 3/8' socket size and studs are 12-24 thread

No I bought it as a driver and have been sprucing it up as I go. I have done a couple cars completely but this one is kinda a long term driver project, not an afterthought.

Amen to that.------------------Mopar Brother(s) Stanton, Moparnation,Beekeeper, have been a tremendous help to me. I value there input/advise!!!! Im putting in my switch panel into the lower dash pad without switches installed. Should be a real thrill to install switches from under the dash. I didnt have a philips screw starter but bought one just for this job. The rheostat and light switch seem to cause the most trouble trying to get through the dash pad. Good luck

I did the dash pad while keeping the window in my charcoal 69 charger I bought as half built project and I'll never do another one. Window comes out everytime now.

Wiper pivot seals go in too!

Good luck bud. It sucked and my aftermarket pg classics dash pad had the studs way off so I had to work around that too.

Patience
