Here are some pictures of my 1967 Coronet Wagon; if it wasn't so rusty, or if it were ultra-rare, I'd try to restore it, but at this point, having lived its entire life until now in San Francisco near the ocean, it's going to be a power train donor (radiator to rear axle) for my 1969 Sport Satellite - then I will part with the shell - red interior! The pictures don't show it too well, but almost the entire drip rail area is rusted through; lots of daylight inside. Every time I go over any bump, there is a shower of rusted metal sprinkling down. Wish it wasn't so rusty....it's a cool old 4 speed big block wagon and lots of fun to drive! Coronet4.jpgCoronet3.jpgCoronet2.jpgCoronet 1.jpg

383 4 barrel 4 speed wagon???

Cool.

Um, I just bought a 67 Belvedere wagon...how do you remove the back seat bottom?
I've tried the normal process and it acts like it's bolted in the back.

I might be interested in some wagon specific parts.
Not sure yet what I might need.

Yep - factory 4 speed, 383 4V, 3.23 sure grip and A/C, it's all there and confirms with the fender tag. Whoever ordered it must have wanted to tow, since it has several options that comprise the factory tow package, at least from what I can glean from the 1967 Coronet brochure -- I haven't removed anything yet, so not sure about removing the back seat bottom. I'll probably just stick to the mechanical items.

Thanks.

Trailer hitch?

That might be a dealer or later add-on? i have no way of knowing whether that's a factory item....can't imagine there's still a PN on there if it is...

Too bad about the rust. I think this was on sf bay area craigslist a while back. We were looking at it for a drivetrains swap as well. Good score!

great donor car

So a big block 4spd wagon isn't rare? Sure is a cool car, think I'd still drive the stuffin' out of it.

Cool car ...my father in law had one in the 80’s.... He used it for house painting....

So it turns out the wagon is apparently more unique than I originally thought and it deserves to be restored or at least preserved in its present state. Either way, it doesn't deserve the ignominy of being relegated to donor car status...Funny thing, wagons are really cool now, yet when I was in high school in the mid-70s, a wagon was looked down on, even if it was a big block tire frying monster...and now the "long roofs" are having their day.

Save that wagon.... you will never see another one but I may be biased because it's a '67 coronet...

That doesn't look bad in the photos, its to bad you cant save it or whats left after you take what you have to have, bet it would be a fun project just restoring to the point of some new paint and tires to fry!

What has happened since then is that the general population has realized:

1- what they really need is a station wagon

2- a "sport utility" vehicle IS a station wagon

and-

3- a B body Mopar wagon (or any 60s and 70's mid size) is almost the same size as a Durango or an explorer, but is WAY cooler.

Bingo!

I'd love a nice wagon as a family car...though up here if I was going to use it as a family car it would be best as a 4x4 for the snow... but I'd gladly take one of those

Let's see the inside and the engine/fender tag.
