Pipe from heater box and hole in firewalll

Hi all, anyone know for what is this pipe and the hole in the firewall ?
Something connect there like a hose to outside in the engine room ?

There should be a extension nipple on the tube which brings it out to the engine compartment. Otherwise, you'll have water from the AC dripping into the passenger compartment

Ok I plug the hole in the firewall now , because I not have an A/C Kompressor installed ( only the A/C heater box inside my car)

so I think no water can came out out the steel pipe .
 
Ok, thank you guys ! have anyone a picture how it have to look correctly , ? Is it just a rubber hose , and a grommet with hole for the hose . Any part number
 
No hose, it is exactly as you have, it's just a foam seal on the inside.

really ? Means my one looks correctly ? But for what is the hole in the firewall , and why is the copper pipe look just in the inside floor pan ?
