Plymouth Road runner 1973

Hello, first time poster here wanted to get some help and pointer on a few things.
#1: got a plymouth road runner 1973, that is being restored, which brings me to point #2
#2: I live in Panama in Central America the guy that had it before did not have the proper parts and basically made a mismatch on the transmission. since I already have to swap out transmission, how can I make the transmission swap for a manual shifter. a few pointers would be good. the stock car had auto transmission and the previous owner kept it auto but from a different car.

pd: sorry for the English and happy to elaborate further, just started and wanted to get some help.
