I just picked up a 67 last weekend and started to clean her up a bit but have a couple questions about the trim that runs along the top of the fender all the way to the back.
Is it aluminum? and if so what is the best way to get it as shiny at eh chrome on say the bumpers? I tried my chrome polish on it but it didnt seem to work very well.
Thanks!

It is Aluminium need to strip off the anodizing and then polish. Google there are a lot of ways to do it.

Ya don's use chrome polish. What I did was took the pieces off and then filled a gutter about 8' long with hot water and drano crystals. let them soak in that for a bit and it will wipe away with ease! then start sanding and polishing with some aluminum cleaner.

You sure that is aluminum and not stainless steel?.....................MO

The ridge trim is Aluminum... remove the anodizing and fire up the buffer using the appropriate buffing compound.
