Trying to install aftermarket temp. gauge in 1965 318 engine naturally does not fit stock location.

Any info on how to install this gauge so it will work.

Thanks for any assistance.

mechanical or electric sender?or do you mean how to mount it?

Right now the gauge that I have is mechanical, thought of using electric gauge and use the factory temp. sending unit. Now am looking at splicing hoses and make various fittings to use the probe

thanks,

The kit you purchased did not come with any adaptors for the sending unit?

Old thread - my Sunpro temp gauge probe is too big to tap the intake.

Any other ideas?

I've seen an aftermarket thermostat housing with a sending unit port on top but have been unable to actually find one.

Trying to keep this inexpensive as I already have the trio of gauges, but for some reason the stock temp sensor is tiny and the sending unit probe is gigantic.

Pics are just for reference.
