Ok, on a A-990 scoop on a 65 belvedere, how far from the rear edge of the hood? Thanks,

I think I would listen to SUPERSTOCKRACER he has a couple of them !!!!!! Just sayin

The actual scoop mounts from 1/4" - 1/2" from the rear of the scoop to the rear edge of the hood.

All I will say is that the picture he posted has the WRONG year (1967) scoop on that Belvedere. The early scoop follows the edge of the hood like in this photo!

This pic shows the two different style Hemi scoops, the size of each is not exact in relationship to each other, I put them together into one pic.Scoops.jpg
The rear edge of the scoop fits the hood edge.

when I built the car superstockracer has back in the 80's the 64-65 scoop wasn't available at that time , that's why it has the 67 scoop on , back then no one knew the difference, now everyone is super stock smarter! ha.ha.

Now see, that explains that! Just didn't want anyone second guessing on the scoop, that's all.
