3n1 aladlin pot metal rod. Its takes some getting use to . Making sure its in a wet damp sand box. Prior to heating up so it does not crumble/melt to nothing. Its a process. Tedious.

Also, my wife and I have made a concious decision to start doing much better videos of our work. We won't be doing every project, but we will be sure to post the best ones.

Oh, you betchya I do! I've got a few projects going now! I was looking for a '68 Charger for a while and couldn't find one that wasn't a pile of rust under 10k so I bought a 67 SS Nova. Been working on that for a minute.... But yes. I absolutely love classic cars regardless of make or model..

I’m building a GTX out of a Satellite. I have the rear pot metal trunk application, and taillight bezels. They have some pitting, but I am going to do a contrasting color in paint. Has anyone tried sanding these and using body filler to smooth them out?

Welcome aboard, I would love to see you in action, unless the repair process is a trade secret and in that case I understand.
We just finished up my FIL's 67 Nove not too long ago. A little small for me but its not too bad for a BowTie.

Absolutely! You shouldn't have any trouble doing so, but I would blast them first. It will take glass or 180/220 grit silicone carbide to knock the old plating off. Just don't try to do it over the chrome. It won't hold over time.
