I run an inline Power Steering cooler that I pulled from a 84-89 Dodge Diplomat. No problems since.

Mine got REALLY hot as well. I kept the fluid level up and let it cool off completely then started it working the steering wheel back and forth to the stops. I guess there was some air in the system keeping the liquid from flowing. You can get the box out if you remove the battery tray, pump and brackets and lift the driver side of the motor up just a bit working the box out toward the radiator. Have fun.

Never heard of this. Guess I will check it with the temp gun next time I'm in Sacramento.
