I have leak that has gotten progressively worse over the last month it's coming from the sector shaft adjustment . Is there much involved in removing the locking ring and and seals around just this area ?
On the bench it is pretty easy. Without the spanner the nut can be loosened with a brass drift. The nut needs to be removed on the adjuster screw. Count/measure the nut to screw position for reassembly. If I recall correctly, the end of the screw is flanged and fits in a "T" slot so it remains in the slot and must be unscrewed as the cap is removed. Reverse these steps to reinstall after replacing the seals.
