I seem to have a leak, after looking all round found very wet fluid on the bottom of the pump and steering box, assuming it leaked down from the pump onto the box and then floor. I do have the vented cap on the pump but is it getting that hot to puke out or is it new fluids out there that are used to a cooler? I run 180° all day maybe up to 220° in traffic but never thought it would need a cooler? Wondering if the seals on the box are bad on top and it's spraying out upward?

Pump is not Saginaw it's the other one, and it olds fluid doesn't seem to leak while idling there. cleaned it all up going to check again later after an outing but wtf? pump seal around housing maybe? or think the fluid is boiling out?

I know the vented cap works I have over filled it once and payed the price for the mess it made. funny it looked like a low level so topped it off never once thinking the balance of what was in there is in the steering box just not circulated back lol dumb *** rookie mistake.

Checked the cap gasket seems pliable and fits tight but it is suspect none the less. maybe start with a new cap and go from there.

Boiling issues anyone have them?

My Dakota did that to me twice in one day, and then was fine.

Only thing I can think of was air bubbles.
