Power steering pump question

Were there other brands of P/S pumps installed in 68-70 GTX's that were not federal or saginaw? I need to rebuild my pump, and none of the pics of the federals or saginaws i've found match the pump i have. :edgy: i found one on flea-bay that looks like it, but mine doesn't have the cooling fins attached to it... :black_eye: is this an aftermarket pump, or is this one of those one-offs Ma MoPar did back in the day???

DUMMY!!! i found it... it is a saginaw.

that cooler is just a seperate bolt on deal ( but it will not hurt you to have one ) it is factory . Dont ever pay that much for a steering pump .

just send yours off and get it remanned if you can find one

I vaguely remember someone here talking about sending their pump to get re-manned somewhere, and that they give you the option of firm or soft feel, but my memory doesn't serve me as well as it used to! Anybody remember where?

I would like to rebuild it myself if possible though...i'm confident i could do it, (never re-built one before), but how difficult is it really???

Cool, i have a buddy that works at NAPA. do you think they would have something to firm the steering up?? the way it is now, it's like driving thru sour cream! :rolling:
